Imposter Syndrome: What It Is and How to Address It in Baby Steps

Imposter Syndrome can get the best of us, and take away from the quality of joy and effectiveness of effort as we build careers and lives. In this video, I discuss the role of “negative” emotions and why imposter syndrome can act as a protection in some ways, and also, and more importantly, how we can gently counter the unhelpful thinking that feeds into imposter syndrome using data and compassionate self-talk.

Comments welcome. Also, if you have specific topics in mind related to academic and career success strategies that you want to learn more about, please let me know and I will discuss it via writing and/or video.
